Covehithe, Suffolk
Long (1974) distinguished five informal units (A to E) at this Norwich Crag locality to the north of the better-known section of Easton Bavents. The sequence in the foreshore and cliffs at Covehithe Warren include cross-bedded sands, sandy loams, shelly sands with pebbles and bone fragments, and unfossiliferous blue clay. Encrusting bryozoans occur on mollusc shells from Units A and C.
